Forest Bathing
Slow. Observe. Reconnect.
“Nature does not hurry, yet everything happens.”
— Lao Tzu
WHY IT MATTERS NOW
The Opposite of Rushing
AI is reshaping how we live and work. Technology is accelerating. Many people are feeling stressed, overwhelmed, distracted, and mentally fatigued. Burnout, anxiety, and disconnection continue to rise.
We’ve become desensitized through constant screen time, noise, information, and rushing from one thing to the next. Many people tell themselves they are simply “too busy” to pause, reflect, or spend time in nature.
Forest Bathing is, in many ways, the opposite.
It is a slow, mindful, non-tech walk in silence that invites you to open your senses again.
We begin to notice more of what is around us and within us. What we see, hear, touch, and smell becomes more vivid. As awareness expands, many people discover a greater sense of calm, clarity, and connection.
People often arrive feeling stressed, distracted, and disconnected. Not only from nature, but from themselves.
Yet we remain part of nature, not separate from it.
The future requires more than Artificial Intelligence. It also requires Human Intelligence and Nature’s Intelligence.

Origins of Forest Bathing
Shinrin Yoku
Forest Bathing, or Shinrin Yoku, originated in Japan in 1982.
At the time, Japan was experiencing growing concerns about stress, overwork, burnout, and the impact of rapid urbanisation on physical and mental wellbeing.
The Japanese government and health practitioners began encouraging people to spend time in forests as a simple yet powerful way to reconnect with nature and support overall health.
Today, Forest Bathing is practised around the world and has been the subject of extensive research exploring its impact on stress reduction, wellbeing, creativity, focus, and human connection.
WHAT PEOPLE EXPERIENCE
The Shift People Feel
Nature as Mentor
Nature is one of our greatest teachers.
A forest teaches interconnection.
A garden reflects the diversity and uniqueness of a team.
A tree teaches resilience, growth, and strong foundations.
Through The Nomadic Mindset™, nature becomes a mentor, guide, mirror, and source of wisdom.

NOMADIC CONNECTION
Nature Is Never Separate From Life
For nomadic cultures, nature is never separate from life. It is a teacher, guide, and source of wisdom. The land provides feedback, animals provide signals, and the stars offer direction.
The Nomadic Mindset™ emerges from this deep relationship with nature, observation, and interconnectedness. It recognises that people, communities, animals, the environment, and the wider universe are part of an interconnected whole.
We are not separate from nature. We are part of it.
Forest Bathing for Leaders
The Doorway Into the Journey
Our Nomadic Leadership Journey Experiences begin in nature.
Forest Bathing becomes the doorway into the journey.
Before entering a workshop room, leaders step into a different environment. One that creates space for reflection, perspective, connection, and curiosity.
Nature has a unique way of equalising people. Titles soften. Hierarchy fades. Conversations become more human.
In our experience, the leaders arrive in the room calmer, more present, and open to learning together.
The journey has already begun before anyone takes a seat.

A Moment in the Forest
During one Forest Bathing experience with an organisation, I noticed a young woman step forward to introduce herself and then quickly step back out of the circle. When she spoke, her voice was so soft it was difficult to hear.
As we entered the forest, I watched her quietly explore. She looked up. Touched leaves. Hugged trees. Absorbed the experience through all of her senses.
At the end of the walk, participants were invited to share their reflections. To everyone’s surprise, when she spoke, a strong and confident voice emerged.
She smiled and said,
“I’m an introvert. The forest doesn’t judge me. It absorbs me. It invites me. It makes me feel at home.”
The transformation was remarkable. Everyone could see it.

Giving Back
Supporting the Forests
Climate change and deforestation continue to threaten forests and ecosystems around the world.
A portion of selected Forest Bathing experiences supports Rainforest Trust and global forest conservation efforts.
Because nature is not a luxury. It is essential.
Supporting forests means supporting the future of our planet, our communities, and future generations.
